You’re just weeks away from your special day. So many people, family and friends, have helped you get to this point; whether it be planning with you, taking you out to relax, or just being a shoulder to lean on and an ear to talk to. Now the time has come to buy the bridesmaids (and groomsmen) gifts.
This nice gesture, that has become common courtesy over the years, is a way to show those you love and who have stood by you that you appreciate their support. Being unique and practical when shopping for this type of gift can often be difficult. Here’s a few choices to help you get started.
Colorful handkerchiefs for the groomsmen can be embroidered with initials for a nice personalized touch. Matching the color of the handkerchief to your wedding’s accent color will allow your groomsmen to always remember when he got it.
Similarly, one can gift bridesmaids with simple silk scarves for a classic style moment (and cute photo ops.)
Jewelry is always a classic option for a bridesmaid/groomsmen gift. Instead of doing a classic tennis bracelet or watch, maybe go for a more modern piece. A bangle with each bridesmaid’s birthstone, or a beaded earthy elemental bracelet for your groomsmen are contemporary, everyday-wearable choices.
Cosmetics and toiletry cases are another option that can be shared amongst the bridesmaids and the groomsmen. You can buy items like this from a small business owner on Etsy or a similar marketplace website.
If you want to change it up and give everyone a little something different, you can tailor your choice of gifts on the person’s hobbies and likes. Maybe a cool kitchen gadget for the home chef, or a nice journal for the one who loves to write everything down. You could get sunglasses for the fashion enthusiast, and a luxurious shave set for the groomsman who likes to stay groomed.
